Kitchenaid revealed its color of the year for 2025, and if you are like me, it will make you want to redecorate your whole kitchen. Butter is a soft shade of jaw yellow with a creamy satin finish – and it looks good enough to eat.
Do you want to spread butter in your kitchen? This color of the KitchenAid stand mixer (as presented in shows such as The great Briton cooked) is available now, at a price of $ 499.99 (around £ 400 / $ 800 at) directly from KitchenAid.
The official color of Kitchenaid in 2024 was nauseated blue salt narlescent, while the color of 2023 was the bright pink hibiscus (very similar to the pantone color of the same year, Viva Magenta).
Butter and brass
Butter follows the recent trend of warm and natural colors in kitchen utensils, which mark a break from black, white and chrome. For example, at the end of last year, Kitchenaid unveiled the magnificent design mixer (but surprisingly controversial), which went against the grain with a covers green body and a real walnut wood bowl.
Some bakers feared that the wood, which should be washed and oiled to keep it in good condition, would not be practical for tasks such as the whisk of the eggs. However, real world tests have proven that it was not the case, and it worked as well as a metal bowl for the daily mixture.
In January, Kitchenaid also announced that its full range of Espresso manufacturers is now available in hot porcelain in white, and Breville has launched a new collection of kitchen devices with brass details rather than stainless steel. The range of brass accents includes a new version of the best business espresso machine, The Barista Touch Impress, which is available in navy, olive and white off-white.
