Islamabad:

The National Assembly of President Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that the PML-N in power had never canceled its talks with the PTI of Imran Khan and that the two parties were in contact.

“We [the government] I never closed the door during the talks, “President Sadiq said on Friday during an information interaction with journalists outside the Punjab assembly.

The speaker facilitated rare talks between the PML-N and the PTI which started in December and culminated after three laps after the PTI announced the withdrawal of the negotiation.

Sadiq said the PML-N had never dissolved his negotiation team.

He said that the PTI negotiation team would take up the process once it will obtain approval from its management. “The two parties are still in contact,” he said, adding that the founder incarcerated from the PTI, Imran Khan, is “a hard to cook”.

The government and the PTI have agreed to keep talks to put an end to a political crisis in progress during a meeting between Sadiq and the head of the PTI and former president of the Na Asad Qaiser.

During talks, the PTI demanded the training of judicial commissions to probe the incidents that occurred on May 9, 2023 and November 26, 2024.

However, during the last week of January, the PTI moved away unexpectedly from the table, connecting other sessions to the training of judicial commissions.
