SC has decided more than 8,000 cases in the last 100 days

The Supreme Court of Pakistan decided 8,174 cases and received 4,963 new cases in the last 100 days. In addition, the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) exceeded 40 complaints against the higher judiciary during its two meetings.

According to a press release published by the Supreme Court of Pakistan which described the legal performance of 100 days under the direction of chief Yahya Afridi, the SJC had examined 46 complaints under article 209 of the Constitution received against constitutional officials. Among them, 40 had been eliminated while comments had been requested in five complaints and one sent information.

Over the past 100 days, the Supreme Court has demonstrated increased resolution by deciding 8,174 cases while receiving 4,963 new cases.
