The former presidents of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Najam Sethi and Zaka Ashraf, both praised the remarkable transformation of the emblematic Gaddafi stadium of Lahore, highlighting its rapid development in a short period.

The opening ceremony promises to be an unforgettable experience, with a dynamic mixture of music, dance and fireworks. Fans have treated a free entry, with the doors of the stadium opening at 5.30 p.m., with the exception of the Imran Khan speaker, which is reserved for special guests.

The newly upgraded Gaddafi stadium now has brighter LED lights, two large dashboards and seats imported on all enclosures, improving the viewers’ visualization experience. In addition, around 10,000 new seats have been added, increasing the ability of the place.

Upgrades also include newly constructed hospitality boxes and improved installations for players and fans, ensuring world -class experience for everyone.

The successful completion of the transformation of the stadium in time for the Champions Trophy was not an easy task, but under the leadership of Naqvi, the PCB delivered the project in just 117 days.

The Gaddafi stadium will launch its journey after the renovation with the opening match of the ODI Tri-Nation series on February 8, where New Zealand will compete in what promises to be an exciting meeting. The stadium will also host four games from the ICC Champions Trophy, including the second semi-final.
