The demonstration began after a FIR was filed against a defender of the use of fanciful numbers of numbers and windows tinged on his vehicle.

Lawyers organized a sit-in in the bypass, blocking the roads and aggravating the daily journey for residents.

They demanded the transfer of SSP Farrukh Lanjar. Several political and religious parties have joined the demonstration, strengthening the request of lawyers.

The merchant unions in Hyderabad, the second largest city in Sindh after Karachi, published statements in favor of lawyers’ requests.

Mirpurkhas lawyers, Tando Allah Yar, Mehrabpur and Jamshoro also organized demonstrations and sit-ins, blocking various highways.

The tension was resolved when the Sindh police offered the training of a judicial commission and the lawyers agreed conditionally, first demanding the transfer.

Hyderabad Dig Tariq Razak Dharejo confirmed that the SSP Lanjar’s leave request had been approved and that SSP Tando Mohammad Khan received additional costs for Hyderabad. Lawyers ended their protest after being assured of the transfer.

To defend the police, the Sindh police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon, said: “The police did not commit any reprehensible act and did what was to do under the law.” He also deplored that the police service did not receive cooperation from the company.

Memon stressed that if the police had resisted, the situation would have worsened for shuttlers and residents of Hyderabad.

With the resolution, the roads are now open, offering an essential relief to citizens who had faced significant disturbances during the demonstration.
