Rawalpindi:
Seven terrorists were killed in two separate intelligence operations (IBOS) by the security forces of Dera Ismail Khan and Northern Waziristan Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday in a press release.
He said that the three “Khwarij” – a term used for terrorists belonging to the Tehreek -E -Taliban Pakistan (TTP) – were killed during the night in the ibos carried out in the general area of Maddi de Dera Ismail Khan and a Another four in the Mir Ali General Zone in northern Waziristan.
“The night of February 8 to 9, 2025, the security forces carried out an operation based on information in the Maddi general area, Dera Ismail Khan District on the indicated presence of Khwarij,” said the ISPR, the media wing of the army, in his declaration.
“During the conduct of the operation, his own troops actually hired Khwarij’s place, following which, three Khwarij, including Kharji Rehmat, were sent to hell, while two Khwarij were injured”, added the press release.
“Another intelligence operation was carried out in the general Mir Ali area, northern Waziristan district. On the fire scholarship that followed, four Khwarij were effectively neutralized by the security forces, while three Khwarij are injured, “the statement said.
According to the ISPR, disinfection operations were carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the region, adding that the security forces in Pakistan were determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism in the country.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for successful Ibos and eliminating seven terrorists. In a statement, Shehbaz said that “the whole nation welcomes our forces”.
