The Pakistani Minister for Foreign Affairs and Vice-Prime Minister, Ishaq Dar, had a telephone conversation with Malaysian Minister for Foreign Affairs Dato Seri Attama Haji Mohammad Bin Hassan focusing on the main regional issues.

According to the press release published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, DAR and its Malaysian counterpart discussed the current humanitarian crisis in Gaza, as well as the wider situation in the Middle East, Express News reported.

The conversation highlighted the urgency of fighting human suffering and instability in the region, in particular in Gaza, where civilians were faced with serious challenges.

During the call, Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s unshakable commitment to the Palestinian cause and emphasized Pakistan’s continuous support for a fair and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s position to defend the rights of the Palestinian people internationally.

The two leaders also discussed the next extraordinary meeting of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) to foreign ministers, Pakistan expressing its strong support for the initiative.

DAR highlighted the importance of collective action to fight against the Middle East crisis and the role of the OIC in the supply of a platform for dialogue and cooperation on Palestinian rights.

Previously, on Sunday, Pakistan firmly denounced the suggestion of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to establish a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia, with the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar engaging in diplomatic awareness of his Iranian, Turkish and Egyptian evolution.

In a strongly written declaration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs categorically rejected Netanyahu’s proposal, the appellant “irresponsible, provocative and thoughtless”, condemning in unequivocal terms the declaration made by the Israeli Prime Minister.

FM DAR said that the Israeli remark was irresponsible, provocative and thoughtless, which was not only deeply offensive but also undermined and ignored the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to self -determination and to an independent state on their own historic and legitimate territory.

He said Pakistan was in solidarity with Saudi Arabia and congratulated his firm support for the Palestinian people and their right cause.

Any attempt to undermine the unshakable position of Saudi Arabia and the false declaration of its commitment to the Palestinian cause is deeply regrettable, according to the press release.

Dar said that Pakistan firmly believes that the Palestinian people have the inalienable right to establish an independent and sovereign state based on the borders before 1967, with Al Quds Al Sharif as capital.

“Any proposal that seeks to move or move the Palestinian people of their ancestral homeland is unacceptable and constitutes a blatant violation of international law, United Nations resolutions and principles of justice and equity,” he added .

Meanwhile, Dar spoke to the foreign ministers of Iran, Egypt and Turkey to discuss the evolving situation.

Dar discussed with them about the evolution of the situation in Gaza. DPM / FM expressed its commitment and the support of Pakistan to the Palestinian people and for the creation of a sovereign, independent and contiguous Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders, with al-Quds al-Sharif as capital.
