The plane of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi used Pakistan airspace while he is on his way to France, said Express News, citing sources of aviation.

Modi, traveling on a special plane, stole from New Delhi to Paris. The plane entered the Pakistan airspace near Lahore and continued its trip at an altitude of 34,000 feet, passing through several regions, including Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Chakwal and Kohat.

Aviation sources said that Modi’s plane had traveled Pakistan’s airspace for about 41 minutes, but no message of good will was left to the Pakistani government or to its people.

Aviation officials said that since the Afghan airspace is currently closed, Indian Prime Minister Modi has obtained a special authorization for this flight route.

Pakistan entirely closed its airspace on February 26, 2019, after Indian fighter planes violated its international borders and its airspace. In March of the same year, Pakistan partially reopened its airspace, but it remained limited for Indian flights.

Despite this, Pakistan refused at the request of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Moda later in 2019 to use his airspace for a flight to Germany, in the midst of increasing tensions on the cashmere dispute.

However, two years later, Pakistan granted permission to Modi’s non-stop flight to go through its air space en route to the United States.
