Imane Khelif, the Olympic gold medalist who was in the middle of a gender controversy at the Paris Games during the summer, promised to retaliate against the allegations of the International Boxing Association (IBA).
IBA declared earlier in the week that it would file criminal complaints against the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in the United States, France and Switzerland on its decision to authorize Khelif and the Taiwanese boxer Lin Yu-te To participate in the games despite the disqualifications in itself tournament. Khelif and Lin won gold medals at the Olympic Games.
“For eight years, I fought for my dream – years of sacrifice, discipline and perseverance to stand on the Olympic scene and represent my country with pride,” said the Algerian boxer in a statement published on Instagram. “I have won my place and I will continue to stay firm in the face of any challenge.
“For two years, I have taken the high road while my name and my image have been used, unauthorized, to new personal and political programs thanks to the spread and the dissemination of lies and baseless disinformation. Silence is no longer an option.

“The International Boxing Association (IBA), an organization with which I am no longer associated and which is no longer recognized by the International Olympic Committee, has once again made basic accusations which are false and offensive, using them for Advance their program.
IBA cited the executive decree of President Donald Trump on transgender athletes to justify the criminal complaints.
The IOC has again reiterated that Khelif and Lin were not transgender.

“The two female athletes mentioned by IBA are not transgender athletes,” the organization said on Monday.
