PTI rejects the government’s economic recovery demands

The PTI chief organizer for the Punjab Aaliya Hamza said that the government’s economic indicators were false and that the country is heading for the disaster.

The head of the PTI described the country’s economic situation following the change of regime, highlighting significant increases in public services and raw material prices. It said that the electricity rate had increased by 212%, the domestic cylinder rate by 43%, gasoline by 70%, diesel by 80%, the gas rate of 1291%, rice of 95 % and overall food prices of 187%.

Aaliya said that the production of large -scale industries has dropped to the trend. During the year 2022, he increased an increase of 11.71%; However, since then, there has been a continuous drop. The prices of essential products have increased sharply. The price of wheat increased by 52%, the price of sugar by 59%, the price of beef by 70%, the price of sheep by 58%and the price of chicken by 64%.

The PTI chief said that the prices of other essential articles had also increased significantly. The egg rate increased by 158%, the price of milk by 68%and the price of oil by 20%. The price of Dal Mash increased by 134%, Dal Masoor by 39%and the onion by 175%. Likewise, the price of the potato increased by 187% and the 111% tea rate, she said.

Aaliya Hamza said that the poverty rate in Pakistan had increased from 18.4% in 2022 to 25.3%, pushing 13 million people below the poverty line. It has also criticized the government’s economic policies, saying that the GDP growth rate has decreased in decline since the regime change. In 2022, the GDP growth rate was 6.18%, which fell to 0.92% in 2025.

Aaliya has announced that PTI would hold a meeting with all the AMPs of the Punjab Assembly to discuss future plans and strategies. She added that the party would continue to protest against government policies and mobilize the masses.
