The Genesis Invitational Golf Tournament pays tribute to the end of Tiger Woods’s mother, Kultida Woods

While Tiger Woods continues to cry the loss of her mother, Kultida Woods, the organizers of Genesis Invitational revealed plans to honor him.

It is believed that white represents illumination, knowledge and purity. Kultida, whose name is often shortened in Tida, was born in Thailand. The flag of his native country has a pair of white stripes, which also symbolize Buddhist faith.

“It is with sincere sadness that I want to share that my dear mother, Kultida Woods, died early this morning,” he said. “My mother was a force of nature that is clean to her, her mind was simply undeniable. She was fast with the needle and a laugh.”

The Genesis Invitational 2025 started on Thursday at the Torrey Pines Golf Race in San Deigo. Woods recently announced that he would not participate in the tournament when he continues to treat the death of his mother.

The seventh hole by 4 on the course also represents an important moment in Woods’ career. In 2008, he won the US Open championship over the seventh green. Woods defeated Rocco Mediaté by breaking equality on the seventh hole after the 18 -hole competition.

Kultida met Tiger’s father, Earl, when he was in the army in Thailand. Kultida and Earl moved to Brooklyn, New York, after making the knot. The couple then moved to Cypress, California, where Tiger was born. Earl Woods died in California in 2006.

According to ESPN, Tiger, whose real name is Eldrick, was appointed according to his mother and his father. The name Eldrick begins with an E in honor of Earl and ends with a K in honor of Kultida.
