Prime Video has announced its intention to produce a Legally blonde Prequel series last year, and now that the streaming platform finally threw its young it Woods, we are another not more of the rebirth of my ultimate comfort film – and I cannot contain my excitement.
Yesterday (February 13), Amazon MGM Studios and Reese Witherspoon, who created the role of her Woods in the 2001 film, announced that Lexi Minetree (Law and Order: SVU & Murdaugh’s murders) was interpreted as the head of the new series of privileged videos entitled SheFollowing Deadline’s report that Minetree and Madison Wolfe were the two contenders remaining for the role. It will be the leading television role of Minetree, which is expected to arrive on one of the best streaming services at the end of 2025.
Witherspoon made this announcement on Instagram (see below), publishing a video of her saying to Minetree the good news in person declaring: “We had to make a really difficult decision the other day and we wanted to tell you in person Because you just worked very hard. And we just wanted to tell you that you no longer have to audition because you got the room. You are she woods ”.
What can you expect from the Video premium?
Although we have no exact date for first -rate videos Legally blonde Series of prequelled other than its arrival at the end of 2025, the streaming platform gave an overview of what we can expect to see its history. Taking up before her adventure at the Harvard Law School, the series follows a young she Woods in her days in high school, telling her life and her previous experiences that helped her become the icon we know and love the film.
It is not an argument that Reese Witherspoon wore the original film with her unforgettable representation of her Woods and I am relieved that she returns in the world of Legally blonde As one of the show’s executive producers, alongside Lauren Neustadter, and Lauren Kisilevsky, and the designer of the performance hall Laura Kittrell. As it is confirmed that Witherspoon is involved in the prime video project, I crossed my fingers so that we find more familiar faces of the original film – I am talking about you, Jennifer Coolidge.
Indeed, with regard to comfort films, Legally blonde (2001) is the one I often revisit and it is even better now that it is one of the best first -rate video films because it was added to the service as part of all that is new in February to the States -Unis (it is also available in the United Kingdom, but Australians will have headed for Stan or MGM to broadcast the original film).
