The leaders of the community of Dawoodi Bohra representing His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, made an appeal at his altitude, Prince Rahim al-Hussaini Aga Khan V, in Lisbon, on the sad disappearance of his father, his Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV.
Mr. Sultan Ali Allana, representative of AKDN, received the delegation presented to him by lawyer Mehmood Yusuf Mandviwalla. The delegation included Shahzada Ammar Jamaluddin, brother of his holiness, Shahzada Mehlam Yunus and lawyer Mehmood Yusuf Mandviwalla.
During the meeting, the leaders of the Ismaili community including Mr. Sultan Ali Allana were also present. A letter of condolences from Syedna has been given to Prince Rahim, in which visionary leadership and the tireless efforts of his father, to promote education, health care and social well-being, have been hailed.
In addition, Syedna also recalled how the Dawoodi Bohra and Ismaili community shared the ancestry and the deep commitment to maintain the value and inheritance of the Fatimid imams.
Syedna also recalled the deep link between the communities that developed during the generations from its holiness Syedna Tahir Saifuddin and Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin.
The Dawoodi Bohra community is in solidarity with the Ismaili community during this period of sorrow and offers its deepest sympathies and support.
Syedna also made its prayers to Prince Rahim during his accession as an aga Khan V and carrying the spiritual heritage of his ancestors.
