Lawrence Taylor, one of the best defensive players in the history of the NFL, almost left football in high school.
But his father would not leave him.
Taylor, 66, spoke of almost stopping football during an appearance on “remaining with Tyrus” of Outkick.

“I thought it was too much. As I said, when I went out for football during my junior year, I wanted to leave. And … my father looked at me:” You’re not going Stop “”, recalls Taylor.
“And then once I started getting it a little, he said to me:” Hey, you had to be better than the following man just to be equal. “So listen, I go after that is never in front of me, who I have to take care of.”
The temple of renown of professional football has done a good job during his career of 13 years of treatment with the person in front of him. Taylor has spent his entire career with the New York Giants, winning two Super Bowls.

Taylor won the NFL MVP in 1986, becoming one of the only two defensive players in the history of the NFL to win the MVP.
During this 1986 season, Taylor had 20½ bags. For Taylor, his goal was simple – find football.
“I think a lot of coaches, or my coaches anyway, allowed me to play the game as I saw. (People say) that you have to get here, you have to go. Well, no. I have to get out of the outside here, but I’m trying to go here.

Ten Time Pro Bowler had 142 bags in 184 career games.
