The American representative Lori Trahan, D-MASS., Torn her republican colleagues this week, saying that they politicize the controversial question of transgender athletes in competition against girls and women.
The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association is one of the three state sports organizations to say that it will continue to allow athletes to compete with biological women despite the recent executive decree of President Donald Trump to do so.
This led Trump’s Ministry of Education to launch probes on title IX against the sports federations of Massachusetts, Minnesota and California.
“We are going to say no to these trans children? You can’t be part of a team, you cannot learn camaraderie and be part of your community and feel a feeling of belonging? It’s just cruel,” declared Trahan, via the Boston Globe.

Trahan, who said that she had not heard much about a outcry by her condition, added that she thought that the problem should belong to each individual sports body, not to politicians.
“They are experts. They are dedicated to their sports and create fair and responsible rules for participation. Many of them have already implemented changes to ensure equity and security,” she declared.
“I think this is where decisions should be made, but that does not prevent my republican colleagues from arming this problem, and that has a lot of consequences.”

The NCAA, despite President Charlie Baker, said in December that he knew less than 10 transgender athletes of the association, recently followed Trump’s order and prohibited transgender athletes from participating in women.
“You cannot ignore the [NCAA’s] Data, “said Trahan,” but that doesn’t stop them. They think he is a political winner for them. Whether they believe it or not, it doesn’t even matter. They have established such a dangerous story in our country to refuse the existence of trans people.
“There is a lot of goosebumps, so now someone can accuse a girl who does not seem feminine enough or does not have mats in her hair?” Trahan added. “How should she prove [her gender]? It is a bad development of politicians. It is politics at worst. “”

The debate reached a new level almost three years ago when Lia Thomas, a transgender swimmer in Penn, won a title of division I. Trump published his decree as part of his plan announced to “prohibit” the trans athletes to compete with girls and women during the campaign.
