Fia busts gang selling illegal sims

The authorities arrested five people on Saturday who would have part of an organized gang responsible for the sale of illegal international SIM cards in the country.

The FIA ​​cybercrime wing gathered these people during a raid in Rawalpindi. The FIA ​​team was helped by PTA officials.

According to the FIA ​​spokesperson, the accused sold the SIM cards via social media. These SIM cards, he said, have been used in illegal activities, including ransom, extortion and online scams.

The accused were identified as Muhammad Mudassir, Muhammad Amir, Muhammad Zakaria, Syed Noor and Wajih Mahmood.

During the raid, the FIA ​​confiscated its 335 SIM SIM cards in police custody and five mobile phones.

The FIA ​​launched an investigation by the accused. The agency also performs more raids to stop their accomplices, added the spokesperson.
