The Senate has approved the 2025 Bill of Salaries and Compensions (modifications), which will increase the wages and advantages of the legislators. Despite a certain opposition, the bill was adopted by a majority vote after an official vote was led to respond to the concerns of the dissident members.

The bill, presented by Senator Dash Kumar, was adopted unanimously, although Vice-President Syedal Khan ordered the recording of the names of the dissident members, signaling the controversial nature of the decision.

Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar defended the increase in wages, urging legislators to avoid politicizing the issue. He suggested that members did not want to accept this increase should submit a written declaration and stressed that similar measures had been implemented at the provincial level.

His remarks led to strong opposition protests, which prompted an intervention by the vice-president to restore order to the Senate.

In addition to the wage bill, other legislative questions have been faced with mixed results. The 2025 Bill 2025 income tax (modification), presented by Senator Zeeshan Khanzada, was opposed by the Minister of State for Finance Ali Pervaiz Malik.

The 2023 Bill 2023 of the State Bank of Pakistan (amendment), presented by Senator Mohin Aziz, triggered a debate, Aziz insisting on his discussion in the Senate instead of being referred to a committee.

Other bills, such as Bill 2025, have been postponed due to the absence of Senator Farooq H Naek, while the 2025 Bill of Senator Farooq H Naek, while the bill Business sciences and technology at the business and technology university has been returned to the permanent committee.
