The strands are really an education.
I knew that the ornithorynque is a strange mammal with a duck ticket, a bout -shaped body and a Castor -type tail. And I knew they are unique to Australia. But I did not know that they also had galiers (well, the male of the species does at least).
It turns out to be poisonous is only the many remarkable characteristics of this incredible creature – they have two layers of fur, they lay eggs, they shine in darkness, they hunt by using electroception, plural Ornithorynque is in the oral phase. They can complement the strands in 45 seconds without any clue. They are brilliant.
