BTC Slake Platform Core joins Crypto lender Maple and Gustodians Bitgo, Copper, Hex Trust

Core Foundation, the creator of a Bitcoin yield token, joined forces with Maple funding companies and Bitgo, Copper and Hex Trust institutional loan protocol to push deeply in the ignition sector BTC.

The Core ISTBTC token allows institutional participants to gain a return on Bitcoin Holdings while remaining safely within the confidence care partners without having to take the risks or operational charges of the management of intelligent contracts. A liquid token, which will be issued in the coming months by Maple, will allow the BTC to mark by commercial companies and asset managers such as guarantee of borrowing in DEFI or with commercial counterparts.

The ability to gain a yield on Bitcoin and potentially release a new wave of liquidity in the Defi ecosystem has become a burning subject, with protocols like Babylon having entered the market. A massive and unexploited group of BTC holders will be able to obtain a return on their BTC thanks to the Core double adoption mechanism, said Maple CEO Sid Powell.

“Bitcoin’s security budget will face problems in a few years because minors receive less income from awards,” Powell said in an interview. “Solids of jealousness like Core can help strengthen the security of the Bitcoin network by giving alternative sources of income to minors. LSTBTC holders will benefit by earning a return on their BTC during their detention, which represents a huge total addressable market. »»

Maple launched this month an existing BTC product on Core. This product consists in locking the BTC for 90 days and has a yield target of 5%-Plus Acy. The LSTBTC liquid wick token (LSTBTC) will be instantly redeemable, offering better liquidity. Consequently, Maple expects a slightly lower apr range.

Powell said Core is in an excellent competitive position, because things are in place to be the first to market with a BTC liquid token.

“There are few BTC yield options. If you look through the battery, most of them are only points and they are not yet liquid or provide a BTC yield.
