Pakistan has the potential to act as a bridge between the United States and China, said President of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, in an interview with German television on the touch of the Munich security conference.

Bilawal highlighted Pakistan’s long -standing role in promoting diplomatic ties between nations and stressed that some nations took advantage of the competitive situation between Washington and Beijing.

He also expressed his optimism as to the prospect of improving links with India, declaring that peace with the Rival country, or at the very least, was possible.

Speaking on US President Donald Trump, Bilawal described him as a “dealmaker” and suggested that Pakistan could successfully engage with him.

Last week, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs also discussed the internal political landscape of Pakistan, attributing the disillusionment of youth to politics to the former Prime Minister Imran Khan. He spoke to the Munich media on Saturday.

He said that while generations had trouble for democracy, Khan had damaged the personal earning system.

Speaking on the security situation of Pakistan, Bilawal underlined the need for national consensus to fight terrorism, in particular following the new government in Kabul, which, according to him, has led to an increase in incidents terrorists in Pakistan.

He called for political stability and the development of strategic policies to meet the country’s growing challenges.

Bilawal reaffirmed the position of the PPP according to which all institutions must operate within their constitutional limits.
