Pakistan’s first lunar rover is set to be launched as part of china’s chang’e 8 mission in 2028. To celebrate this achievement and engage the nation, the pakistan space & upper atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) has announced a nationwide Contest, with An RS 100,000 cash price, inviting the public to offer a name for the lunar rover.
According to a press release published by Suparco, under the theme “Name of the Lunar Rover of Pakistan”, the competition encourages public participation in the country’s space trip.
It is open to students, space lovers and the general public in Pakistan. Participants can submit a unique and significant name as well as a brief explanation of their choice. The winner will receive national recognition, added the press release.

Pakistan First Moon Mobile Robot
