A former basketball goalkeeper Team USA hopes to play for another country at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Kyrie Irving, the Dallas Mavericks superstar which won a gold medal with the United States team at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, as well as the 2014 World Cup, was invited to play for Australia at the games of the following summer.

“We are in the process right now,” Irving, 32, told journalists during the NBA All-Star weekend. “I’m just trying to understand what will be the best route for me to be eligible. There is a lot of paperwork between this.”
