The chief of cashmere, Mishal Malik, wife of the chief of imprisoned Hurriyat, Yasin Malik, accused India of being involved in terrorism and targeted murders in the world, affirming that diplomatic efforts will not give themselves Results for cashmere.
She urged Pakistan to bring the Yasin Malik affair to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), similar to the way India had presented the Kulbhushan Jadhav affair.
Kulbhushan Jadhav, an Indian navy officer, was arrested in March 2016 by Pakistani authorities in Balutchistan for espionage and terrorism. Pakistan then argued that India’s intelligence company, RAW (Wearch and Analysis Wing), and carrying out subversive activities to destabilize the country.
In April 2017, a Pakistani military court sentenced Jadhav to death, provoking a diplomatic dead end between India and Pakistan. India denied the allegations of espionage and brought the case before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), arguing that Pakistan had violated Jadhav’s rights under the Vienna Convention by refusing consular access .
In July 2019, the CIJ ruled in favor of India, ordering Pakistan to grant consular access to Jadhav and to review her death sentence. However, Jadhav remains in Pakistani custody, and diplomatic tensions on his case continue.
Mishal Malik has now established parallels between India’s decision to bring Jadhav’s affair to the CIJ and the inaction of Pakistan concerning Yasin Malik, urging that Pakistan must take similar legal measures to combat leaders cashmere imprisoned by India.
Speaking at Lahore High Court Bar Association, Mishal Malik allegedly alleged that her mother had been recently poisoned and killed, stressing what she called the secret operations of India and cross -border terrorism.
“Why can’t Pakistan bring Yasin Malik’s case to ICJ?”
Mishal Malik asked why Pakistan had not taken the case of Yasin Malik at the CIJ, especially when India managed to carry the case of the spy condemned Kulbhushan Jadhav before the International Court.
“If India can bring the Kulbhushan Jadhav affair to the ICJ, why can’t Pakistan take the case of Yasin Malik there?” She asked.
She rejected the idea of negotiations with India, declaring that dialogue has no value and will not lead to any resolution. “There is no advantage in extending an invitation to talks to India,” she said, stressing that legal action in international courts is now necessary.
Calls for a stronger political action on cashmere
Mishal Malik, however, hosted the declaration of the Pakistan army chief on the fight against the ten wars for cashmere, qualifying him as a positive position. However, she stressed that it is the responsibility of politicians to effectively present the question of cashmere in front of world leaders.
She urged political leaders to go beyond simple speeches and to take concrete measures, in particular:
- Follow diplomatic initiatives
- Organization of large -scale rallies and protests
- Push international legal interventions
“The leaders of the cashmere are reduced to silence”
Mishal Malik also criticized the Indian judicial power, declaring that the Kashmiris had never received justice from the Indian courts. It alleged that India was engaged in a systematic campaign to eliminate the leaders of the cashmere, imprisoning all the key leaders to weaken the movement.
“Our whole movement is without leader thanks to a deliberate strategy. All our leaders were thrown into prisons. The world has seen how Syed Ali Geelani was martyred, and yet no one was held responsible, “she said.
She called on the legal and diplomatic communities of Pakistan to take decisive measures in international forums to contest India’s actions in Jammu-et-Cachemire of Indian origin (IIOJK).
