- The majority of Daredevil: born againThe exit calendar has been revealed
- The episodic liberation format of the Disney + show differs slightly from another Marvel television series
- Fans found two major theories on the reasons why the change was brought
Daredevil: born againThe exit calendar (most of them, in any case) was revealed, and it immediately sparked discussions between fans on its unusual episodic exit format.
A direct continuation of the beloved Daredevil Television program which originally took place on Netflix from 2015 to 2018, Again born is one of the most anticipated Marvel projects for years. And, with its launch is fast approaching – Marvel has confirmed Daredevil: born again Would arrive on March 4 (United States) and March 5 (United Kingdom and Australia) in October 2024-The excitation of fans has increased in a notch in recent weeks.
This excitement turned into curiosity yesterday (February 18), however, after the revelation of the exit calendar of its first six episodes. In a Disney press release describing the Mars 2025 Disney +range, fans were immediately attracted by the fact that Again bornThe fifth and sixth episodes will arrive on the platform on the same day – this being March 25 for the American public, and March 26 for British and Australian viewers.
Why was Daredevil: Born was born again an release of two episodes halfway from his first season?
It is not unusual that Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) shows first to two episodes on Disney +. Many of his predecessors, including Your Spider-Man neighborhood friend And Agatha from the start Similarly launched with Dual Episode Drops on the day of exit. Disney + confirmed last press breath Daredevil: born again gets the same treatment.
This is the first time that a Marvel television program will have a fall in two episodes in mid-season, however. It is even more weird when you realize that other episodes also follow the traditional format of the release of the Marvel TV show. For example, episodes 3 and 4 will be published on March 11 (United States) / March 12 (United Kingdom and Australia) and March 18 (United States) / March 19 (United Kingdom and Australia).
So why does Marvel are experiencing an outing in two mid-season episodes here? I have two major theories and, given what I have read online since this information has been revealed, other MCU fans think in the same direction.
The first hypothesis is a story based on history. Daredevil: born againThe first season includes nine episodes and it is possible that, if the story playing in episodes 5 and 6 is essentially a two games, it is logical to publish them together. Why make the fans wait a week to discover what is happening if episode 5 ends on a cliff hanger? Of course, this would generate many discussions after the release of post-episode 5, but it might not be in the best interest in history than one of the best Disney + programs (potentially, in any case) try to tell.
The other most likely reason, however, is that Disney does not want this production of Marvel Phase 5 to come up against another impatient series which will make its debut on one of the best streaming services in the world in the near future. The program in question? Andor Season 2, which is one of the best rated Star Wars projects from the past five years.
Last November, Disney confirmed AndorThe second and last season would appear on April 22. If Daredevil: born again Followed the usual release format of the Marvel television program after his first of two episodes, his final of season 1 would not be cleaner on Disney + until April 22. This would lead him against the first of two episodes of AndorSophomore output. It would be a confusing film if Disney had published these three episodes the same day and thereafter cannibalize the viewing figures of each series.
