The COAS MANNIR Army Staff (COAS) arrived in the United Kingdom for an official visit to attend the 7th regional stabilization conference at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
The conference, a key platform for the military dialogue of Pakistan-UK, brings together political decision-makers, military officials and experts from both countries to discuss regional security dynamics.
The head of the army will give an opening discourse to “the emerging world order and the future prospects of Pakistan”, describing the perspective of Islamabad on the evolution of the world and regional challenges.
Upon his arrival, the army chief received an honorary custody of ceremonies on the historic field of the Royal Horse Guards, stressing the importance of Pakistani-Uk defense ties.
During his visit, the chief of the army will hold high-level meetings with British officials, in particular Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, the Chief of the Defense Staff of the United Kingdom, and General Sir Roland Walker, the chief of staff of the British army. Discussions will cover strategic cooperation, efforts to combat terrorism and regional security.
The army chief will also meet the British national security advisor Jonathan Powell and the interior secretary Yvette Cooper, focusing on cooperation in bilateral security and shared challenges.
Pakistan and the United Kingdom share a long-standing defense relationship, with joint training against terrorism, military exchanges and strategic dialogues playing a key role in bilateral links.
As part of his visit, the military leader will visit the British military units, including the Land Warfare Center and the 1st strike brigade, where he will receive briefs on military modernization efforts of the United Kingdom.
