Researchers from the CTE Center of the University of Boston found that the Legend of the NHL Bobby Hull, who died in 2023 at 84, suffered from stadium 2.
The CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy) is a degenerative brain disease that has been identified in military athletes and veterans who have undergone concussion or repeated heads.
It can only be diagnosed posthumously by examination of the brain.

It is no longer rare to find former football players, hockey players and fighters who suffered from the disease at the time of their death.
“Seeing the pain and the sorrow suffered by his family of his friend for life Stan Mikita, Bobby strongly thought that no other family should have to undergo Cte,” said Deborah Hull, the 39 -year -old Bobby wife, in A press release via the concussion foundation. “He insisted on giving his brain, feeling as if it was his duty to help advance research on this scary disease.”

“The NHL families deserve to know that the CTE can be a consequence of the head impacts they receive by playing the game,” added the CEO of the Legacy Concussion Foundation, Dr. Chris Nowinski. “The NHL still shamelessly refuses to recognize this scientific truth, we therefore hope that this message reaches current players so that they can, at least, play with informed consent.”
Hull played 23 professional ice hockey seasons – 16 in the NHL and seven others at the World Hockey Association. He made his NHL debut in 1957 before hanging up his skates in 1980.
Hull helped Chicago Blackhawks with two titles from the Stanley Cup, and was a 12 -star MVP and twice. His son, Brett, was also a 20 -year -old NHL veteran and, like his father, is at the temple of renowned hockey.

Including his number of WHAs, Hull has accumulated 913 goals and 895 assists.
