The security agencies have carried out exercises to combat large -scale terrorism at the Gaddafi stadium in Lahore before the ICC 2025 champions trophy, which should start in two days.
The exercises, entitled “Evacuation of the safe operation”, simulated emergency scenarios and involved the police, the military, the rangers and the elite force, alongside the rescue services and the team of Elimination of bombs. The exercises were led by SP Abdul Wahab security and supervised by SP Model Town Ikhlaq Tarar.
Security officials have tested rapid response tactics for potential threats, guaranteeing coordination between forces. The plan includes a four -layer safety perimeter, with more than 10,000 officers deployed during the tournament.
Meanwhile, ICC security officials have expressed their confidence in Pakistan security preparations, saying the measures meet international standards.
