RS20 per kg subsidy on sugar in Ramazan

All stakeholders have agreed to provide sugar to consumers at a reduced rate in Ramazan, who should start from March 1. The government will provide an RS20 subsidy on each kilogram of sugar and the goods will be sold to Rs130 per kg during the sacred month.

Sources have indicated that an agreement to reduce sugar prices was concluded at a meeting attended by representatives of the four provinces and sweets of sweets.

They said the Ministry of Industries and Production would send the sugar summary subsidized to the Food Security Division for final approval, and sugar will be sold to Rs130 per kilogram. The cane commissioner will be responsible for monitoring sugar prices.

The sources have revealed that the Ministry of Industries and Production had published the meeting press release to chief secretaries of the four provinces and sent an official notification to Pakistan Sugar Mills Association concerning the RS130 price per kg.

During Ramazan, subsidized sugar will be available in bazaars of low -cost models and will be provided in mega counters, large and small stores. The sugar bags at one and two kilograms will be sold with a limit of five kilograms per citizen according to their national computerized identity cards (CNIC).

The responsibility of focal lengths for the distribution of sugar in the four provinces has been assigned to the cane commissioner. The sale of subsidized sugar will start three days before Ramazan and will continue until 27 Ramazan.
