The range of Huawei’s slimline fitness trackers, the Huawei Band, was a firm element of our best list of cheap fitness trackers for years, and this year, the company has gone beyond.
It largely looks like the Huawei Band 9 – it is always an Amoled screen of 1.47 inch, but now the case is available in metal for additional durability, while coming from fresh colors, especially purple, pink, Blue and bright green.
It is still relatively difficult to obtain in the United States, but some new features are worth trying if you can.
On the one hand, it uses the cardiac frequency variability (HRV) to help determine how you sleep more precisely than with previous models, then uses it to give advice on how to rest better.
All of this is folded in training preparation measurements, a bit like Fitbit or Garmin devices, so you know how much you can push yourself.
Make the monitoring of mood more visual
The Huawei Band 10 also has a more subtle tip in its round which should add a little personality to the monitoring of mood.
Again, using this HRV data and other measures, the Huawei Band 10 can execute an emotional well-being assistant who follows your mood. It is not entirely new, but what is fresh here is that it will make subtle modifications to your watch face so that you can say when you might need a break, or it’s time to take food.
It is a really neat idea – we have seen Eda scans that can monitor stress, and these have become more common, but not something that can highlight when you could have a difficult day and encourage you to act , or just a back step.
It is interesting to hear about it just after a study has concluded that smart watches can help identify the symptoms of depression.
