The security forces killed six activists in Karak IBO: ISPR

Six terrorists were killed on Friday in an intelligence -based operation (IBO) led by security forces in the Karak Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the media wing of the army announced.

In a press release, inter-service public relations (ISPR) confirmed that the operation had been launched following reports on the presence of “Khwarij”, a term used to refer to extremist activists.

The security forces have engaged the place of activists, leading to the death of six terrorists, according to the ISPR.

The soldiers added that the operation was part of the continuous efforts to eliminate the remaining terrorist elements in the region. “The disinfection operation continues to ensure that the area is released from any remaining threat,” the statement said.

The ISPR also stressed that the sacrifices of soldiers involved in the operation strengthen Pakistan’s commitment to rid the country of terrorism and to ensure peace and stability.
