PM Shehbaz launches the case management system to modernize the judiciary

In an important step towards the modernization of the Pakistan judicial system, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif launched the system of case and management of the case. This initiative aims to provide transparent, efficient and rapid justice to litigants across the country, Radio Pakistan reported.

Addressing the launch event in Islamabad on Friday, the Prime Minister stressed that the system had long been expected, because the citizens of the country called more transparent and faster judicial processes.

He expressed his confidence that the new system would greatly contribute to attacking the grievances of the public, ensuring that justice is done in a timely time.

The PM Shehbaz underlined the massive waste of resources over the years due to corruption, collusion and lack of modern technological solutions within the judicial system.

He underlined the need for collective efforts to transform Pakistan and recover the losses suffered in the past, which would possibly result in future advantages for the country.

Referring to his recent meeting with the chief judge of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi, the PM mentioned his request for rapid decisions based on merit in pending cases.

Earlier this week, the Prime Minister had visited the residence of CJP Afridi to discuss the agenda of the next meeting of the National Judicial Policy Committee (NJPMC).

In his speech, Prime Minister Shehbaz is also committed to recovering every penny due to Pakistan, ensuring that he would be used for the improvement of the nation’s people.

He thanked all stakeholders, including international partners such as the United Nations (UN) and Canada, for their support for the design and supply of financial assistance for the development of the assignment and management system.

Troels Vester, the representative of the country of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), also spoke during the ceremony, expressing total support for the Pakistani government and the ministry of Law and justice in the ‘Introduction of modern technology to improve governance. He congratulated the management of Prime Minister Shehbaz for directing reforms aimed at modernizing the Pakistan judicial system.
