- Meze Audio reveals the new headphones open in premium finish
- The manufacturer promises the “breakthrough” in flat magnetic conductors
- “Luxurious” materials adapted to a price £ 1,850 / $ 2,000 (approximately $ 3,100 A)
Audio Meze, a manufacturer of Romanian headphones behind some of the best planar magnetic headphones available today, says that its new poet model marks a breakthrough for high -end audio technology.
These headphones are designed with aesthetics and audiophiles in mind, with an open back construction and a wired connection to make sure you get a high quality audio, a reliable connection and a good sound scene to appreciate the Resonance of the poet’s planar magnetic pilots – as well as “audible emotion” that Meze professes for his last cans.
But the poet headphones are also carefully manufactured aesthetic objects, with a “complex steel grill, a magnesium chassis and a soft suede leather support”, alongside the braided copper wiring of 3.5 mm for Connect to a source device.
Planar magnetic drivers have been around for many years now, offering an alternative to the dynamic design of the driver used in the vast majority of the best headphones.
The planar headphones essentially deploy a set of magnets on each side of an ultra -thin vibrating diaphragm in order to emit a sound, requiring more power and greater and heavier equipment than standard pilots – reaching the unique magnetic resonance planar and an improved bass response. The poet headphones have a frequency response of 4H-Z96KHz, widely widening the usual beach 20h-20khz in both directions.
However, Meze Audio claims to have advanced technology more, with the help of electro-acoustic engineers from Rinaro Isodynamics in Ukraine.
The life of a poet
A press release indicates that “the poet integrates several revolutionary features which distinguish him into the world of high -end headphones. These include a hybrid magnet network designed to create a powerful and powerful magnetic field through the diaphragm, as well as a diaphragm published with an incredibly low weight (only 0.06 g) and a large active area for the Immaculate audio reproduction. The result is an ultra-faible distortion (<0.05%) and an ultra-high resolution audio which captures each nuance, from the deepest sub-bass to the highest triple frequencies. »»
Meze adds that “each conductor is assembled by hand and tested in the rinaro point installation in Ukraine, guaranteeing unrivaled quality and performance.”
Meze Audio certainly impressed us before: in our five -star review of the MEEE Audio 105 AER headphones, we called them “wire earphones with open back which easily trunted all the rivals at the level”.
At 350 g, the poet headphones are even heavier overall – the Dynamic Driver Sony Wh -1000xm5 headphones are available at only 250 g – but they are always lighter than the recently announced FIIO FT7 planar headphones, so everything is relative . The luxurious price can keep it out of the limits for many buyers, but for anyone after a really premium listening experience, the range of audio Meze is more and more like one of the best options.
Poet headphones are now available for £ 1,850 / $ 2,000 (around $ 3,100 A).
