Islamabad:
Authority aviation in the United Kingdom should finally raise a ban on PIA flight operations on its territory at its next meeting while the national flag carrier plans to relaunch its direct flight to Manchester from Islamabad on March 28.
The British department’s security review committee for transport should meet on March 15. Pakistan expects its airlines to finally be authorized to resume their flights to the United Kingdom.
In the first phase, the national airline plans to operate Islamabad flights to Manchester. In the second phase, the PIA will start the flights of Islamabad and Lahore in London and Birmingham.
PIA Management issued tenders for soil handling, catering and crew hotels in order to complete the arrangements for the flight operations in the United Kingdom.
According to a spokesperson for the PIA, they await the decision of the British department for transport. If the decision is positive, flight operations begin immediately.
He said the British market is a very important route for the PIA network. Passengers will receive standard international services.
