This has marked his second visit to Azerbaijan since taking office in March 2024. He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, notably the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar, as well as key members of the cabinet, Reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to deepen links with Azerbaijan.
During the visit, the two parties will organize discussions on energy, trade, defense, education and climate cooperation. Several agreements and soft should be signed to strengthen bilateral collaboration.
Azerbaijan remains a key economic and strategic partner for Pakistan, with strong cooperation in several sectors. The visit underlines Pakistan’s commitment to expand links and promote economic collaboration.
Prime Minister Shehbaz is also planned to give an opening speech in a commercial forum organized in partnership with the Export and Promotion of Investments Agency in Azerbaijan (AZPROMO). In addition, alongside President Aliyev, he will visit Fuzuli as part of a special visit to the Karabakh territories.
The visit aims to improve economic ties, to explore new channels of cooperation and to reaffirm the unshakable support of Pakistan at Azerbaijan.
