Mob Lynes Watchman in Changla Gali

Abbottabad:

A crowd in Changla Gali took over and lynched a goalkeeper after having allegedly murdered a local resident at the Seer Gharbi Union Council, police sources announced on Sunday.

According to officials, Khan Zaman, a guardian and resident of the Kurram district, was brutally beaten to death with stones and sticks by a rabid crowd after having fatally stabbed the local Imran Abbasi during a dispute in the parking lot.

Sources have revealed that Khan Zaman was employed in a housing company where Abbasi had parked his car overnight. When Abbasi came back in the morning with his brother to recover the vehicle, an argument ensued with the goalkeeper. The altercation intensified, and in a rage cry, Khan Zaman attacked Abbasi with a pointed object, stab it several times. Abbasi succumbed to his injuries, while his brother was injured in the attack.

While the news of the murder spread, a large number of people gathered on the scene, setting fire to five houses from the company. Feeling the danger, Khan Zaman hid in the basement of a house.

The police arrived at the scene and, learning where they are, broken down a wall to recover it. However, the rabid crowd has mastered the police, took care of The Watchman and submitted it to a brutal public execution, declaring him guilty of murder on the spot.

Several police officers were injured in the violent confrontation. Watchman’s body was then transported to an Abbottabad hospital for a post-mortem.

No arrest was made as part of the incident.
