Gemini could be integrated very soon in Siri, because a new code in the beta iOS 18.4 version indicates more IA model functionality for Apple Intelligence.
The Google Gemini functionality in Siri fueled by Apple Intelligence would allow users to ask more difficult questions to Google AI that Siri can currently answer. This would be available as an alternative option for the integration of chatgpt, although we are not sure to choose or if you can access different models of AI depending on your requests.
At WWDC 2024, when Apple unveiled Apple Intelligence, Craig Federighi said: “We also intend to add a support for other AI models in the future.” After the announcement of integration of Chatgpt Siri, it would now seem that Gemini is the next IA model to follow suit.
According to @ aarop613 on X, there is a reference to “Google” as part of “Choice_options” in parallel with chatgpt integration already available. This would imply that Gemini could be available in Siri from the official launch of iOS 18.4 which is planned in the coming months.

It would not be the first time that Apple and Google have been working together, companies have had a lucrative affair to include Google Search as the default search engine in Safari on iOS for years now, and despite being competitors direct, see the advantages by working together.
Google recently published Gemini 2.0 Flash which is an incredible Multimodal IA model that can go with the best Openai. The implementation of Gemini in Siri would give Apple Intelligence an advantage over other smartphone AI offers by incorporating several models into a single user experience.
If Apple’s objective is to continuously increase AI model offers in Siri with Apple Intelligence, users will benefit from a wide range of features, and this is only a good thing. Although we do not know when to expect the integration of gemini into Siri, this code points to the arrival of Google Ai in the not too distant future.
