Lahore: The Punjab Department of Education has published new school hours for Ramadan, which will be implemented in all the schools in the province.
According to the notification, schools will operate from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm Monday to Thursday, while Friday, the lessons will end at 12:30 p.m.
For double shift schools, the first quarter of work will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., while the second quarter of work will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The notification also stipulates that students will be rejected 15 minutes earlier than the official closing time.
The Central Committee Rue-E-Hilal should meet in Peshawar for the observation of the Ramadan moon on February 28 (Friday). If the croissant is seen, the sacred month of fasting will start on March 1 (Saturday).
However, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported that the first day of fasting in Pakistan should fall on March 2.
Likewise, the Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere (Suparco) research commission issued a forecast, noting that the month of Ramadan could start on March 2.
