- A new leak says that Apple’s intelligent bell will have Magsafe compatibility
- This could allow him to be recharged wirelessly, but there are few details
- The doorbell should also include the security of the identification of the face
There are several excellent ways to use Face ID to improve your safety, such as unlocking your iPhone and confirming purchases. But there is a device that looks like a natural ID facial adjustment: an intelligent bell. According to rumors, Apple builds such a device, and a new leak said it would add some intriguing additional features that the rivals could not match.
The Kosutami leak said in a series of messages on X (formerly Twitter) that the smart bell could find a way to integrate Apple Magsafe technology. Kosutami was right about future Apple products (like the iPhone 16 Pro), but they also had a few failures – so it is worth taking these rumors with several salt aids.
“There is something Apple sounds at your door,” said the fled, followed by the treat, “Magsafe at your door, it sounds.” Magsafe allows accessories to fix magnetically to all the best iPhones, and it can also be used for wireless load.
That’s not all. The two messages were preceded by Kosutami writing the following cryptic post: “Guess what, the accessories at home strike your door!” And you can hear the next generation AirPods Pro! »»
Although Kosutami did not mention Face ID, Bloomberg’s journalist Mark Gurman previously alleged that Apple will work on facial recognition technology in his intelligent bell product. Gurman believes that the doorbell will support the next Apple Proxima Wi-Fi and the thread wireless standard.
An intelligent house push
If Gurman and Kosutami are correct, the rumor of Apple smart bell could be accompanied by a range of features observed in other Apple products. This has a lot of sense, because Apple often borrows functionalities through its range of products when upgrading products and the release of new devices. And in the case of a doorbell, elements like Face ID and Airpods Pro Compatibility have a lot of meaning.
For example, you can use Face ID to make sure the door unlocks only for you, keeping your home safe and closing the potential intruders. It would also be much more practical than using an existing intelligent locking solution or even pressing an Apple watch on a sensor.
The AirPods Pro link could allow people to communicate via the doorbell. When you wear AirPods Pro, for example, you can get an audio alert that a person is at the door. You could then contact them using only your headphones.
What is a little clearer is how Magsafe could be applied to the doorbell. Kosutami’s message could imply that you can load the door wirelessly using a Magsafe compatible load washer, but the leak did not come into detail on this point. Attacing the doorbell to a wall using Magsafe does not make much sense, because it would be very easy to detach and fly.
With Apple would have developed several smart house hubs and a home security camera in addition to the smart bell, it seems that the company plans to make a serious push on the smart house market. Gurman thinks that the doorbell will not be launched before 2026 at the earliest, but she could make a lot of sensations when she eventually landed.
