- Microsoft has reversed a bug by identifying Entra
- The bug prevented users from connecting to various Azure services
- It has now been resolved, but users are not satisfied
Microsoft has solved a problem in its Authentifier Entra ID service which briefly prevented users from connecting to various Cloud Azure services. The problem came from SSO without seam and Microsoft Entrance Sync, which caused DNS authentication failures.
In his Azure Status web page, Microsoft explained that he had recently made changes that caused DNS resolution chess to the autologon.microsoftazuread.sso.com. Failure prevented customers from accessing Azure services between 5:18 pm UTC and 18:35 UTC on February 25, 2025.
“As part of a cleaning effort to delete IPv6 duplicate CNAMES, a modification was introduced which deleted a domain used in the authentication process for the single authentication function of the Microsoft ID. : “The state page was apparently read.
DNS change
“These problems have been caused by a recent DNS change, which has now been returned, and the service is completely recovered. Currently, customers should no longer meet DNS resolution failures.”
The update of the status was then deleted, but not before being picked up by Bleeping Compompute. It has apparently been deleted because the page is made to follow only “widespread incidents”, and as the problem has been solved, the update has been deleted.
However, Microsoft said that he would share more details on the misstep in the future – but at the time of the press, this has not yet taken place.
Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) is the identity and access service based on the Microsoft cloud. It manages authentication and authorization for users who access Microsoft services such as Microsoft 365, Azure and other integrated applications.
SSO with seamless and synchronization of Connect are features that improve the way in which the ID entered manages authentication. Seamless SSO automatically signs users when they are on a business network, using their local identification information without requiring password prompt. Entrance Connect Sync guarantees that user identities, group memberships and identification information remain synchronized between active directory premises and organization, allowing the management of hybrid identity.
