The government has decided to relieve consumers of agricultural tube and electricity wells using up to 300 units per month, because the electricity division wrote a letter to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) requesting relief of these users.

The Federal Minister of Energy, Ovais Ahmad Khan Leghari, announced an important step for the benefit of agricultural tube wells and consumers using up to 300 electricity units, declaring that the reduction in monthly fuel adjustments will now be also extended.

According to the letter written by the electricity division, consumers using up to 300 units per month had been deprived of the benefit of the monthly reduction in fuel adjustment since June 2015, while the agricultural tube wells had lost This advantage since December 2010.

The letter to NEPRA stressed that the application of the reduction in fuel costs to agricultural tube wells and consumers using up to 300 units will lead to new reductions in their monthly invoices, offering an essential relief.
