Sammy Sosa returns to Cubs Dugout after years Rift

A long quarrel between a historic franchise and one of its most emblematic players is finally over.

Sammy Sosa played for Chicago Cubs in the 1990s and early 2000s, with its three seasons of 60 houses forcing fans in Wrigley Field.

However, in the midst of his apparent use of steroids, which he almost finally admitted in December, Sosa and the organization had a flaw.

SOSA was not welcome to anything linked to the Cubs for more than a decade, and had not been back in Chicago from 2007 at the beginning of last year for an appearance of signs.

But two months ago, SOSA finally apologized in which he admitted to having made “errors” – apologies, said the owner of the Cubs, Tom Ricketts, was the only way for both parties to make amends.

After the apologies, Sosa appeared in a fan Fest Cubs, and Tuesday, he was back in a Cubs uniform in the canoe for a spring training match. It was his first time in the pirogue of Cubs in 21 years.

“It brings back memories. I’m just happy to see everyone,” said Sosa. “I am back in my environment.”

Sosa wrote his letter of apology in which he said he had “always been a cub”.

“I left everything on the field for fans of cubs and cubs because I wanted to win and make the fans happy. I loved seeing Wrigley fans in the right -of -right stands at each home game,” wrote Sosa. “I understand why some players of my time do not always recognize that our statistics deserve. There were times when I could put injuries in order to keep my strength to perform more than 162 games. I have never violated laws, but with hindsight, I made mistakes and I apologize.

“We have accomplished big things as a team, and I worked extremely hard in the hinge to become a big striker. The fans of the cubs are the best in the world, and I hope that fans, cubs and I can all meet again and go ahead. We cannot change the past, but the future is brilliant. In my heart, I have always been a little one and I can’t wait to see the fans of cubs.”

The organization elected Sosa to the temple of renown of its team last month.

SOSA is the only player in the history of the MLB to strike at least 60 circuits in three distinct seasons. He retired with 609 in his career, which classified him from all time, but Ped speculation prevented him from Cooperstown.
