Washington: US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that his administration will soon announce a 25% rate on European Union imports, reported Reuters.

“We have made a decision, and we will announce it very soon, and it will generally be 25%, and it will be on cars, and all the things,” Trump told journalists at a meeting of his cabinet.

The EU has a tariff of 10% on passenger cars, four times the rate of the American tariff of the 2.5% passenger car. US officials have also complained about European value -added taxes at least 17.5%.
