The government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) announced this year the Ramadan and Eid rescue packages for deserving families.
Lawyer SAIF, a special assistant of the Minister of Information of KP, confirmed that, similar to the previous year, the provincial government will extend the package to support more than a million families throughout the province. Each eligible family will receive 10,000 rupees as part of the rescue effort.
The funds will be transferred through banks and easypaisa transparently before the 15th of Ramadan. The provincial government will cover bank and disbursement costs to ensure that the total amount reaches the beneficiaries.
Head Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stressed the importance of complete transparency in the distribution process. He also asked that orphans, people affected by terrorism and members of the transgender community have priority in receiving the package.
Earlier, the space and high atmosphere research commission (Suparco) predicted that Ramadan 2025 will probably start on March 2, according to its calculations of the visibility of the Moon.
According to a statement by Suparco, the new moon will occur at 5:45 p.m. Pakistan time (PST) on February 28, 2025, and the age of the moon will be from 12 p.m. to sunset that day. However, due to the low altitude and the distance from the Moon of the Earth, it will be difficult to observe with the naked eye.
