- Sony announced a permanent PSVR 2 price drop
- The helmet will now cost $ 399.99 / £ 399.99 down $ 549.99 / 529.99 £
- The horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle will also be the same price, down $ 599.99 / 569.99 £
If you were one of the many PlayStation players interested in virtual reality (VR), but you postpone PSVR 2 by its almost absurdly high price of $ 549.99 / £ 529.99, you are enjoying it.
Sony announced a new permanent PSVR 2 price drop by bringing its retail price up to $ 399.99 / £ 399.99 – a mega reduction of $ 150 / £ 130 and close to the massive savings that we saw during the last period of sale of Black Friday.
If that was not enough, the PSVR 2 Horizon Call of the Mountain mountain pack (which previously cost $ 599.99 / 569.99 £) will also be available for the price of $ 399.99 / 399.99 £ and includes a copy of the Call on the mountain horizon Game. It is honestly like an incredible value, especially when you consider the recent version of the PSVR 2 PC adapter, which further increases the high helmet utility by allowing you to use it with your PC.
At this price, the PSVR 2 will be much cheaper than the Meta Quest 3 of 128 GB, which approaches $ 499.99 / 469.99 £ and a good central point between it and the price of $ 299.99 / £ 289.99 of the Meta Quest 3S more budgetary.
Although the PSVR 2 did not draw the attention of PlayStation players to the way Sony could have wanted to, if it had been originally launched at this price, I think it would have been a much more popular choice. It is still classified among the best VR headsets at the moment thanks to stellar performance, it is therefore an excellent excuse to take the plunge if you have been on the fence.
According to Sony, the drop in prices will be held in March – so expect to see the updated lists by the start of next week.
