- Oscar Nuñez will resume his beloved The office Role in the new Peacock series
- The series has no name yet
- It is thought that the producers wanted to keep the appearance of Nuñez a surprise, but he was disclosed
The office was an absolute masterclass of comedy, and I consider it one of my favorite programs. I admit that I felt a little worried when I discovered that he received a spin-off of Peacock, but again, he cannot be as bad as the diverse first order tent of The office, RIGHT? Anyway, my interest in the new series has been stung because it has just been revealed that Oscar Nuñez will resume his role as Oscar Martinez, and I am so excited to see this character again.
Regarding Oscar’s return, we know that he will not be the central character, so do not expect Michael Scott style puffs, we will see someone again in this role. Unfortunately, if you hoped to see people like Pam, Jim and Dwight, it seems that Oscar is the only one to return to the office, and he will join a new range of actors. If we understand it, this spin-off is located in the Desk Universe, but it is not a direct sequel.
According to Variety, producer Greg Daniels said he “told a complete story for most characters – but if there was a character that he would like to see and explore, it would be Oscar.
Variety added: “We think that the producers hoped to keep Nuñez’s participation a surprise, but the news was disclosed Wednesday via the Newsletter The Insneider.”
What do we know about Peacock’s the Office Spin-Off?
Right now, we don’t know much! He does not even have a name and is currently known as the “Daniels / Korman project without title” (referring to the two producers Greg Daniels and Michael Korman). I hope that we will start to see more details in the coming months, because I am curious about it.
We have a loose plot, however, namely that we will follow the staff of a dying Midwest newspaper whose publisher tries to relaunch it with volunteer journalists. So, even if it is not Dunder Mifflin, we always have the paper connection, and it will be set up as a documentary using the same crew that filmed The office. This could therefore explain why Oscar found himself here, that he works for the new company or that he simply has experience as a documentary subject.
