Stabilized macroeconomics, said PM

On Friday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that because of the efforts of his economic team, the country’s macroeconomic conditions had improved considerably, but the government should work further to improve the conditions at the microeconomic level so that the fruits of economic progress can achieve people. He spoke during a meeting with a delegation of eminent industrialists and businessmen in the country. He said the government worked on a priority basis for promoting industry and business. The business community and industrialists were the backbone of the country’s economy and it was our absolute priority to solve the problems they face. He said the government was trying to implement professional policies and investments. The Prime Minister said that investors and the business world had received an easy and simple platform from the special investment facilitation council where facilities were provided by a window. He said the large part of the work was completed for the digitization of the Federal Board of Return, adding that the personalized face -less assessment system had favored transparency. He said the government was trying to achieve sustainable progress goals. Rapid progress has been made in the past year concerning foreign direct investment in the country, he added. The Prime Minister said the government was concentrating to seek foreign direct investment in the fields that could help improve exports. He said that during visits to Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, many agreements were signed to invest in Pakistan, which reflected the confidence of foreign investors in the national economy. He said the best way to increase economic growth was to improve the country’s exports. He asked for suggestions from businessmen and industrialists for sustainable economic growth in the country.
