It has already been a busy year for Samsung. The Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S25 Plus and the Galaxy S25 Ultra Hit Shelves in January, and the brand new Galaxy S25 Edge is apparently at the corner of the street – but it seems that there is a rumor phone for which Samsung fans are even more excited.
In recent months, we have heard more and more on a supposed Samsung Galaxy phone, temporarily known as Samsung Galaxy G Fold. Although Samsung has given a brief suspicion of its multiple ambitions, advice and leaks have been exceptionally active in sharing indices and rumors on what could be the next new range of products in the Samsung mobile portfolio.
Although Samsung is not exactly the first phone manufacturer to produce a three -part phone – see Huawei Mate XT in a breathtaking (LY Cher) – it has a solid risk of being the first to produce a tripled phone available in the world. Huawei is forbidden to do business in the United States, so the Mate XT will not be published so soon.
And, as the original pioneers of folding phones technology, many fans will turn to Samsung to take the kingdoms in the nascent tripolar sector. We could wait a while for still official news, but until then, here is an overview of the five largest rumors of Trifold Samsung Galaxy.
A brand new way to fold
As above, Huawei has already published its Mate XT device with three withdrawal in certain regions, but rumors suggest that Samsung can implement an even more unique folding mechanism on the fold G.
While the hinges on the Mate XT fall back in two separate directions, with a cover screen which is technically just a piece of the interior display, the fold G could use a brochure style shape factor, with two panels that fold inward and were lying on each other on the central panel.
It would certainly be a daring decision, but the official Samsung teaser, Galaxy, unpackaged showed a Huawei style silhouette rather than this drawing style design, so Gold G may not necessarily be a first device of its kind.
An absolutely huge display
If the latest display rumors at three times Galaxy are correct, the phone will be delivered with a really massive interior screen.
According to a CO report in Korean News Outlet news and, the G Fold has a 6.49 -inch cover screen and a huge 9.96 inch interior display. It is almost as large as the basic model iPad, which accumulates 10.2 inches diagonally, although the fold G is likely to include an interior screen with an even wider appearance.
For reference, the current generation Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 has an interior display of 7.6 inch, while the OPPO, the Lead in the class, Find N5 has an impressive 8.12 inch screen. Keep in mind that a broader appearance report means that you will have a more useful space for multitasking and video reading, even if the diagonal length of the rumors of the fold G does not seem much longer.
In addition, a 6.49 -inch cover screen would be the largest on a folding phone available in the world, beating 6.3 -inch cover displays on the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, OnePlus Open and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.
With the Z, with the G
As mentioned, Samsung could position its tripled phone as the first device in a completely new product range, rather than the third model of the Z family, which is currently composed of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
Several rumors have called the device such as the Galaxy G Fold, which can reflect its new folding mechanism in the shape of a G or simply be a way to differentiate the phone from its contemporaries of Plé Z.
If these rumors are true, the name change could reflect Samsung’s desire to market the new phone as a different class of the Z Fold series, the one that could be more attractive to business customers.
The largest screen, versatility and familiarity of a three -fold Samsung phone could make the device an attractive choice for businesses and professionals, and a new name could help Samsung to call on this demography.
Alternatively, Samsung could just want to play the novelty of his new device. It should be noted that during the first unpacked event of Galaxy in 2025, the device was called “multi -occasions” rather than tripled – another new name, this time for the product category.
Brand Battery Tech
One of the biggest challenges behind the design of a folding phone is to develop a strike large enough to support three huge interior screens.
Until now, the manufacturers of foldable phones have chosen to divide the batteries into two cells – one on each side of the hinge – but this leads to drawbacks for the life of the battery because two cells are never as effective as a single cell of the same size.
However, Samsung has at least one patent for new technology that could appease this chronic foldable problem.
More specifically, Samsung has a patent for a folding battery – it is a battery that could itself bend with the hinges of a folding phone.
Whether or not this idea would work in practice is another matter entirely, because the batteries should be able to withstand thousands of turns in order to be safe enough to use it.
Such a battery would also be larger and heavier than a divided battery, so we are eager to see how Samsung addresses this problem.
A revelation to Samsung Galaxy unpacked (but perhaps not)
In the sacred rooms of rumor, there is a debate on the moment when, exactly, the Samsung Galaxy tripolar phone will be launched.
A report by Korean News Outlet and News suggests that we will get an official announcement for the Samsung Galaxy Tripold via the next Samsung Galaxy unpacked, which we expect to occur from the middle to the end of 2025.
If this is true, we could see the Galaxy Tri-Fold announced alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
However, as we have previously covered, a more recent tip-off suggests that the Galaxy Tri-Fold will not arrive later in the year, although the predictioner has provided little context for this assertion.
In any case, it is difficult to say that the tripping will be launched with such a blatant lack of official information and rumors pointing in both directions.
