Meghan Markle’s next special Netflix With love, Meghan drew attention to all bad reasons in last week and it is because of the similarities noted in the trailers between Meghan and Pamela Anderson Cooking with love.
These comparisons have occurred not only between clips and shots, but also in the name of the show itself.
For reference to Anderson’s teaser released in October 2024, while Meghan was released in January 2025.
The leader of the brands, copyright and conceptions of Brandsmiths’ law firm, Stephen Lowry, commented this and exposed his opinion during an interview with GB News.
This conversation started with him by noting the similarities in Meghan’s trailer compared to that of Pamela Anderson and admitted that allegations of copyright violation require a “ proof ” that all kinds of copy had ever taken place.
While explaining that he was quoted saying: “Under the British laws on copyright, the violation of copyright requires proof that the copy took place.”
“As such, although there may be coinciding elements between the two shows, such similarities will not give rise to a counterfeit”.
It is only “if the works are the results of independent creation, that is to say”, that is to say “content which is created independently absent from copy”.
