- Lossless audio on Wi-Fi without ruining battery life
- Very limited phone compatibility and certainly no iPhones
- £ 159 / £ 189 (about $ 200 / $ 240)
The new Xiaomi 5 Pro Buds have been launched in Europe and are available in two flavors, The Standard Buds 5 Pro and The Buds 5 Pro Wi-Fi. The two models have a very impressive specification, but those Wi-Fi are particularly impressive: they are able to provide an audio without loss up to 4.2 Mbps on their Wi-Fi connection. It is far beyond all that the best Bluetooth headphones can offer.
The Buds 5 Pro Wi-Fi have S7 Pro Chip from Qualcomm and Snapdragon Sound Technology Suite by Qualcomm, which supports audio up to 96 kHz / 24 bit. However, there is a warning: it will only work with certain smartphones. Xiaomi says he will publish a list of compatible devices on his website imminent. Currently, the only telephones supported are the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra.
