The FIA added that Shiraz admitted having worked under Armaghan. However, the agency said other interrogations are led once the medical aircraft of the suspect’s electronic devices are available.

Previously, Shiraz alleged that he had been forced by the police to admit the crime.

During a hearing before Karachi’s judicial magistrate on Monday, Shiraz told court that the police had promised him a lighter sentence if he agreed to confess.

Shiraz clarified that he was not the accused but an eyewitness of the crime, declaring: “I saw Armaghan brutally assassinate Mustafa Amir, but I was helpless at the time.”

Following his refusal, the court rejected the request of the head of the investigation to register the denominational declaration of Shiraz.
